Oil change is $70 even for a Honda Civic bought there.laughable.Īny true mechanic, or person who actually values and knows about different kinds of cars can see that it is the biggest POS ripoff in Chicagoland. So let me make a few points about that place. I have driven some of those cars there, and even in the back of a Maybach. My ex-gf's mom's boyfriend is one of the top salesman there (his desk is right by the Maybach display in the front. No its not, its private property, they can do whatever they can. Motor Works should be ashamed! They advertise on The Score all the time, maybe their next ad should say "Come to Motor Works of Barrington (unless you're polish)." Just means that you didn't eat a lot of paint chips or stick your finger in an electrical socket.ĭont be jealous man, its not worth your time, and if its bothering you so bad I will come out to Arlington and help out the cause in Washington staying the "crime capital of the USA" (Although Im not sure if they take car jackings into account)Īre you serious? That's totally illegal. If you have nice things because you earned them that's one thing, but I don't see how turning 16 is an accomplishment. Imagine a "My Sweet 16" American in Poland, Or Berlin (all I would have to do is yell out "Look its a GREEK from the USA!") and then let Istanbul take care of the rest.Ī small part of me envies these kids with their "pimped out" cars, knowing that when they get out of college they won't have to search for 3 months for cheap apartments.but mostly I just laugh at how pathetic they are. I know a guy who stole an Aston Martin on his 17th birthday. *sobbing* "Why did they come here just to ruin the party, they knew they weren't invited and they are RUINING MY PARTY" *screaming* "Come on, I'm worth it if my parents don't drop at least half-a-mil on this party it's gonna blow major-ass" *said whilst getting a manicure with her stuck up-bitch friends "It's not fair! Today is all about me, and if my daddy doesn't get me a new Porsche then everything is ruined!" *said whilst sniffiling into a tissue* When I first started watching it it would just piss me off, but my old roommate luke and I started watching it last year at some point religiously and now I just get the biggest kick out of it these families are just so over the top, and the girls (and the few guys that have been on there) are some of the biggest nitwits i've ever seen. That being said, the show is hilarious, and some of those 16 year olds are pretty attractive, haha. MTV does a pretty good job of showing these girls for what they really are - stuck-up spoiled bitches. I am still yet to work out with this show and 'Real Housewives of Orange County' whether it is designed purely to make those within it look self-centred, obnoxious and make us basically hate them or whether it is more of a documentary type deal. This show for me exhibits how the American 'class' system works and confirms that class is not equal to money by any stretch. If you'd met the guy on the street you'd never guess how well off he was, he was brought up completely differently from your average Sweet 16 and was polite, charming and quite the gentleman. Just a few examples.HOWEVER there is one key difference between his behaviour and those I see on that TV show. It was fresh from dealership and my friend paid the gas and insurance on it because it was better to do that than let it sit on the street outside his house in Kensington. let the head boy borrow his brand new Porsche 996 for 4months. bought out the BA F cabin for him and 13 friends to fly to BKK and back (I wasn't that close to him ) shared a BBJ between him, his elder brother and sisters for trips around the UK and Europe between him and his elder brother spent $35m on cars in 5yrs I went to boarding school with one guy who: You want spoilt kids? I know a guy who got an Aston Martin for his 17th B'day.Įnter the British public school system and the kids from Asia. Also makes me glad I wasn't brought up to be such an obnoxious, self-centred little shite. Have to say I like watching that show in the same way I like watching a train wreck.
